Invasion of soybean roots four days after inoculation by SCN race 3. Peking is resistant to SCN race 3, while Kent is susceptible.  In both cases many SCN have migrated to the vascular tissue and appear to in position to feed.  Thus, resistance is not due to lack of penetration of the nematode, nor a lack of ability to find the vascular tissue for feeding.
